Welcome back to The Blog! Today we spotlight Class of 2023 SRD Senior, Adelyn Sittig!

Addy was another out-of-town Senior for this year! I have known members of her family for years, and it was such a joy to work with her and her family on her Senior portraits. Addy's session was a mosaic of vibrant colors, personal touches, and awesome styling! We started the day in downtown Waterloo at Dark Rose Salon for Addy to get the VIP experience in the makeup chair with Alaina. After makeup, we moved across the road and down to my favorite mural wall to kick off the session. The colors were popping OFF that day, and Addy's simple black and white top combo and ripped jeans were the ideal match for the location! Next, it was off to Addy's family farm for a variety of natural looks, from flowers and tree leaves to chipping paint and a picket fence to corn fields and blue skies. Her dad even brought out the vintage tracker for a few shots! Next, we jumped on the highway to Cedar Falls for some Main Street photos. We took a quick break to grab some Cup of Joe coffee and even incorporated Addy's drink as a cute prop! After bouncing around to a few spots off the main road, it was time for Addy to go into Boss Babe mode with a black two-piece suit and chunky heeled sandals. She looked like she owned everything as we took some outdoor stage photos and played with loose sheet music as a nod to her love of music and vocal performance. Finally, we ended the day in my favorite flower field as the golden hour sunset gave us the most stunning lighting to set Addy's red hair on fire and make for a truly magical end to the day.
